The translation of Muntaqaa Kanz al-Atfaal introduction

This is the introduction of (منتقى كنز الأطفال), with a few improvements, as time passed, and my translation style shifted a little.

 I'm listing this introduction because it contains Khutbat al-Haajah.

 

مقدمة

Introduction

إن الحمد لله

All praise is due to Allaah.

نحمده تعالى

We praise Him, exalted is He.

ونستعينه

Seek His help.

ونستغفره

And we ask His forgiveness.

ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا

And we seek refuge in Allaah from the evil of ourselves.

ومن سيئات أعمالنا

And from the evil of our deeds.

من يهده الله فلا مضل له

Whomever Allaah guides, none can misguide.

ومن يضلل فلا هادي له

And whomever He misguides, none can guide.

وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له

I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah alone, with no partner.

وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله

And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ﴾ [آل عمران: 102]

{ O you who have believed, fear Allaah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims } [Aal Imraan: 102]

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ 

 { O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from a single person,

 

وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا

 and created from it its mate,

 

وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً 

 and dispersed from both of them many men and women.

 

وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ 

 And fear Allaah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs.

 

إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا﴾ [النساء: 1]

Indeed, Allaah is ever over you, an Observer } [An-Nisaa: 1]

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا 

 { O you who have believed, fear Allaah and say what is right.

 

يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ 

 He will then amend for you your deeds

 

وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ 

 and forgive you your sins.

 

وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا﴾ [الأحزاب: 70-71]

And whoever obeys Allaah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment } [Al-Ahzaab: 70–71]

أما بعد:

 And then:

 

اعلموا أن خير الحديث كلام الله تعالى، 

 Know that the best of speech is the Speech of Allaah,

 

وخير الهدي هدي رسول الله ﷺ، 

 and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, Allaah's peace and blessings be upon him, 

 

وشر الأمور محدثاتها، 

 The worst of matters are the newly invented ones,

 

وكل محدثة بدعة، 

 and every newly invented matter is a bid'a,

 

وكل بدعة ضلالة، 

 and every bid'a is a misguidance,

 

وكل ضلالة في النار.

and every misguidance is in Fire.

فقد طلب مني بعض الأفاضل انتقاء بعض الأسئلة من كنز الأطفال،

 Some noble individuals requested that I select some questions from The Treasure of Children

 

تصلح لمستوى البادئين،

suitable for beginners.

فيسر الله باختيار هذه المجموعة من الأسئلة.

So Allaah made it easy to choose this collection of questions.

نسأل الله أن ينفع بها كاتبها ومتعلمها.

We ask Allaah to benefit both its author and its learner.
