س (196) اذكر الصلاة الإبراهيمية؟
Q (196) State as-salaat
al-ibraaheemiyyah.
جـ (196) اللهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد،
A (196) Allaahumma salli ʿalaa Muhammadin wa ʿalaa aali Muhammadin – O Allaah, bestow your blessings upon Muhammad and the household of Muhammad
كما صليت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم،
kamaa sallayta ʿalaa Ibraaheema wa ʿalaa aali Ibraaheema – as You bestowed blessings upon Ibraaheem and the household of Ibraaheem.
إنك حميد مجيد،
innaka Hameedun Majeed – you are indeed All-Praiseworthy, All-Glorious.
اللهم بارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد،
Allaahumma baarik ʿalaa Muhammadin wa ʿalaa aali Muhammadin – O Allaah, bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad
كما باركت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم،
kamaa baarakta ʿalaa Ibraaheema wa ʿalaa aali Ibraaheema – as You blessed Ibraaheem and the household of Ibraaheem
إنك حميد مجيد.
innaka Hameedun Majeed – you are indeed All-Praiseworthy, All-Glorious.
Note: I previously translated "آل" (Aal) as "family". However, that term is too broad and non-technical. "Household" is more precise in conveying the meaning of those who belong to the Prophet’s house and lineage: his wives and close kin from Banu Haashim and Banu al-Muttalib, upon whom charity is forbidden.
